TORONTO, ON – KEVCon ’22 (May 11, 2022) —KEV Group today presented St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Separate School Division with the KEVvies Award for Western Canada.

The KEVvies Award recognizes school districts that have demonstrated vision, leadership, hard work, and innovation using KEV’s school activity fund software solutions. Launched in 2021, the KEVvies Awards program honours districts from three geographical regions—Western Canada, Eastern Canada, and the United States—on an annual basis.

“The Division’s success with SchoolCash is a reflection of their extensive effort to mobilize their parent/guardian community to adopt online payments. This explains how they’ve achieved some of the highest adoption rates among our client base,” said Jennifer Sutton, Chief Customer Officer at KEV Group. “Further, we’ve been impressed by how they’ve leveraged SchoolCash Access, the Donations Module, and our Clover Flex POS hand-held device to drive usage of the SchoolCash platform.”

The Division, which serves more than 4,000 K-12 students across 12 schools, has used the SchoolCash platform since 2008 with parent/guardian participation rates of 95%.

“SchoolCash has enabled us to modernize and streamline our activity fund management processes, allowing us to boost productivity, gain real-time visibility of funds, and offer our school community a secure platform for online payments,” said Darla Schneider, Financial Analyst, St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Separate School Division. “Receiving a KEVvies Award provides further validation that we’re on the right track to realizing our vision of cashless schools.”

The award was presented during KEVCon ’22, KEV’s annual user conference, which was held virtually this year from May 11 – 12, 2022 for the company’s customers in Western Canada. The School District of Palm Beach County and Randolph Township Schools each accepted KEVvies Awards for the United States at KEVCon ‘22 events held on April 20.
