TORONTO, ON –  May 26, 2021 —KEV Group, the leading provider of school activity fund management software, today announced that Saskatoon Public Schools has chosen the SchoolCash platform to enhance its ability to manage school activity funds. With the addition of Saskatoon Public Schools, KEV will count almost 50% of all Saskatchewan Public School Divisions as well as several from the Separate School Division as customers.

As the largest school division in the province of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon Public Schools serves more than 26,000 students and employs 2,400 teachers and support staff. The Division operates 49 elementary schools, 10 secondary schools, one associate school and one affiliate school in the City of Saskatoon and surrounding areas.

Once adopted, SchoolCash will allow Saskatoon Public Schools to collect, manage, track, and reconcile activity funds in a centralized system, eliminating the manual procedures currently being undertaken by staff and teachers.

“SchoolCash is a proven platform with powerful accounting tools that will help staff work more productively while improving accountability for our division,” said Brent Hills, Deputy Director of Education, Saskatoon Public Schools. “When fully implemented, the application’s secure, easy-to-use online payment application delivers added convenience for our parent community.”

Saskatoon Public Schools identified the need to automate the processes and tools they use to manage activity funds by leveraging a single solution as integral in their decision to partner with KEV.

“The ability to seamlessly integrate school-level accounting with all payment types and produce consolidated reports quickly and easily makes SchoolCash truly unique,” said Jason Dunk, Chief Technology Officer, Saskatoon Public Schools. “With automated processes, we’ll be able to streamline approval workflows, reduce complexity, and increase efficiencies. That’s powerful.”

“We’re delighted that Saskatoon Public Schools has joined the growing number of divisions in Saskatchewan and across North America to automate their activity fund management processes with SchoolCash,” commented Bram Belzberg, Chairman & CEO of KEV Group. “We will continue to invest in features that enable them to comply with the province’s unique reporting requirements and processes.”
