TORONTO, ON –  April 14, 2022 – KEV Group, the leading provider of school activity fund management software, today announced that it has achieved Level 1 compliance of the Payment Card Industry’s (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) for Service Providers.

The PCI DSS is a comprehensive set of standards that require service providers that store, process, or transmit customer payment card data to adhere to strict information security controls and processes. PCI DSS Service Provider Level 1 certification is the highest and most stringent level of certification available to payment service providers.

“SchoolCash has been designed with the highest level of security at its core which is a key reason why the platform is trusted by over 17,500 schools across North America,” said Kobi Ofir, Chief Technology Officer at KEV Group. “Achieving PCI DSS Service Provider Level 1 compliance validates the significant investments we have made in security and data protection. It also provides school districts with an assurance that sensitive payment data is being protected to the highest degree.”

To achieve Level 1 Service Provider status, KEV engaged in a rigorous third-party audit conducted by a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) – an independent security organization qualified by the PCI Security Standards Council – to authenticate adherence to PCI DSS.

The PCI DSS standard was created in 2004 by leading payment card companies as a global standard for any organization that accepts, stores, processes, or transmits cardholder data. The standard has evolved over the years and contains different levels and criteria for different types and sizes of organizations.
