KEV Group’s 14th Annual User Group conference took place from April 11th to 13th, 2018 in Toronto, Ontario. School Cash Suite users from across North America gathered to collaborate with their peers and participate in workshops to advance their school’s strategic mission and vision. With technology constantly evolving and changing in the workplace, we were excited to share, explore and discover how to keep ahead of the change with over 70 attendees coming from 38 different school districts.
Opportunity for Advanced Training from School Cash Experts
The pre-conference focused on advanced trainingin School Cash Accounting, School Cash Catalog, School Cash Register and School Cash Online. Attendees benefited from spending a full day with tenured KEV Group trainers, delivering hands on content specially tailored to provide incredible value within one day.
Learning, Collaborating and Networking with Leaders in Education
The two-day core conference included an exciting keynote, 8 workshops, and a panel discussion that included Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) members. Social entrepreneur Roxanne Joyal, CEO of ME to WE and member of the Order of Canada, delivered the keynote speech on Thursday morning. ME to WE is an innovative social enterprise that empowers people to change the world with their everyday consumer choices. With a correlation in the education space, Roxanne shared her story of creating an international market for the intricate handiwork of more than 1,400 indigenous women in Kenya, allowing them to lift their families out of poverty and establish themselves as leaders in their communities. Roxanne opened our minds to the importance of gifting a dream and the value of education in lifting people out of poverty.
The 8 workshops covered a variety of different topics such as Parent Adoption Success, Best Practices in Item Creation, Automated School Cash Accounting Year End Roll Over, Custom Forms Level 1/2 and more! Clients selected four workshops that best suited their district needs. Learning streamed through KEV trainers alongside opportunities for collaboration with peers from other districts. On the final day, PAC committee members led a panel discussion focused on developing recommended routines and to simplify monthly, quarterly and year end processes.
