TORONTO, ONTARIO (October 15, 2020) — KEV Group, the leading provider of school activity fund management software, today announced that they have acquired Lunchbox Orders, a full-service solution that manages lunch programs and fundraising initiatives featuring national chains and local area restaurants for approximately 400 schools across Ontario. Lunchbox Orders will be integrated into the SchoolCash Online platform and made available to all KEV clients across North America over time.
“We’re thrilled to be joining KEV Group,” commented Melissa Roberts, Co-Founder & Managing Director of Lunchbox Orders. “Together with KEV, we’re excited about the opportunity to expand our reach with schools across Ontario and beyond. Our companies are incredibly aligned and have a shared focus on offering an exceptional customer experience to schools and parents which makes this a great match.”
Lunchbox Orders partners with schools to make the traditionally labour intensive and highly administrative lunch program process paperless and cashless. Schools are involved in selecting vendors, setting delivery schedules, and determining the amount that is contributed towards the school’s fundraising initiatives.
With health and safety being a top priority, lunches are delivered by restaurant partners in a grab and go format, individually packaged, organized by classroom, and labelled by student. The online platform allows parents to order and pay for lunches on a weekly, monthly, or yearly basis. This provides parents, children, and schools with a safe, efficient, and contactless service while supporting local area restaurants.
“Our acquisition of Lunchbox Orders gives us an opportunity to deliver additional value to our existing clients while expanding the Lunchbox Orders service across Ontario and beyond,” said Bram Belzberg, Chairman & CEO of KEV Group. “We’re particularly excited about the fundraising component which gives schools an incredibly easy way to substantially advance their fundraising efforts. This, coupled with the enhancements we’re currently making to the Lunchbox Orders platform, will provide further efficiency gains and increased convenience to our K-12 school community. Most importantly, it allows school personnel to focus their efforts on student learning and achievement.”
Lunchbox Orders has enjoyed exponential revenue growth since it was founded in 2014. The company was named to the 2020 Growth List (formerly the Growth 500) today by Canadian Business magazine. The list, which features some of the most ambitious, innovative, and successful entrepreneurial businesses in Canada, ranks companies based on revenue growth over the past five years.
