TORONTO, ON – KEVCon ’22 – (April 22, 2022) — KEV Group today presented The School District of Palm Beach County (SDPBC) and Randolph Township School District (RTSD) with KEVvies Awards for their significant achievements utilizing the SchoolCash platform. The KEVvies Awards recognize school districts that have demonstrated vision, leadership, hard work, and innovation using KEV’s school activity fund software solutions. Districts from one of three geographical regions in the United States, Western Canada, and Eastern Canada are recognized each year.
“The School District of Palm Beach County has set a high standard for success,” said Jennifer Sutton, Chief Customer Officer at KEV Group. “They had specific deployment needs and trusted us to help them achieve their aggressive implementation deadlines. Their success in leveraging the SchoolCash platform to increase efficiency and transition tens of thousands of parents/guardians to pay activity fees online make them truly deserving of this award.”
While it’s been over 10 years since the District implemented SchoolCash, they continue to derive value from the solution. Thanks to several initiatives – which include workshops for bookkeepers and a social media campaign aimed at parents – online transactions have grown steadily. In the 2019/20 school year, over $33M in activity funds were collected through SchoolCash Online. In fact, over 3.8 million in transactions have been processed through SchoolCash Online since its launch at the District.
“This award is a testament to the hard work, commitment and expertise of numerous district and school staff that have helped us achieve such a high level of excellence in fund management,” said Wendy Martin, Manager – Financial Applications, SDPBC. “SchoolCash has allowed us to bring all our schools onto a single platform, helping us achieve greater transparency over all fund management processes.”
“Even though Randolph Township is a smaller school district, they have proven that activity fund management software is critical for districts of any size,” commented Sutton. “By eliminating the need to reconcile multiple systems, they’ve been able to achieve significant time savings for district and school staff.”
Since implementing SchoolCash in 2019, Randolph Township School District has achieved an impressive 84% online payment adoption rate. By doing so, they’ve significantly reduced cash-handling costs and minimized labor-intensive tasks. SchoolCash also allowed them to efficiently process thousands of refunds after COVID restrictions forced the cancellation of the District’s school proms. Without it, they would have had to manually issue 2,500 checks which would have taken eight to nine weeks.
“It is an honor for our District to receive this award,” said Stephen Frost, Business Administrator at Randolph Township School District. “Adopting SchoolCash has been transformational for our District. We are now saving significant time and offering increased convenience and improved service to our school community.”
The awards were presented during KEVCon ’22, KEV’s annual user conference, which is being held virtually this year from April 20 – 21, 2022 for the company’s customers in the United States. The KEVvies Award for Eastern Canada will be announced on May 4, 2022, while the winner for the KEVvies Award for Western Canada will be presented on May 11, 2022.
