TORONTO, ON –  KEVCon ’21 – May 11, 2021 — KEV Group today presented Knox County Schools with the KEVvies Award for its significant achievements utilizing the SchoolCash platform. The KEVvies Award recognizes school board districts that have demonstrated vision, leadership, hard work, and innovation using KEV’s school activity fund software solutions. Launched earlier this year, the KEVvies Awards program honours one district from one of three geographical regions—Western Canada, Eastern Canada, and the United States — annually.

“Knox County Schools is so deserving of this award,” said Jennifer Sutton, Vice President of Client Success at KEV Group. “From their successful efforts in leveraging the platform to collect payments online at the district level to their early adoption of SchoolCash Forms, Knox County has used SchoolCash in so many creative ways to establish best practices and drive overall adoption which has served as a model for other districts.”

As part of its district-wide program to loan Chromebooks to students, the District leveraged the online payments module within SchoolCash to collect over 90% of fees for the Device Insurance Plan totalling $650,000. After participating in KEV’s Early Adopter Program for SchoolCash Forms—a new online form-building application released earlier this year—Knox County was also among the first districts to use the product as part of their efforts to collect district-level fees such as parking permits and facility rentals.

“We’re thrilled to receive this award in recognition of our efforts to improve activity fund management processes and drive adoption of the platform across our school community,” said Garrett Raiden, Supervisor of Internal Funds, Knox County Schools. “By doing so, we are now safeguarding over $11 million annually from potential fraud while offering greater convenience to our community with online payments.”

The award was presented during KEVCon ’21, KEV’s annual user conference, which is being held virtually this year on May 11-12, 2021 for the company’s customers in the United States. Last month, North Vancouver School District received the KEVvies Award for Western Canada. The KEVvies Award for Eastern Canada will be announced on May 18, 2021.
