KEV Software Inc. and KEV Group Inc. (collectively, “KEV Group”) take privacy and data security seriously. We are committed to transparency in the collection and use of your personal information. This Privacy Policy applies to the privacy practices of KEV Group on its corporate website, located at http://www.kevgroup.com, as well through the School Cash Suite of software offered to schools and school boards.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

  • Kev Software:

In connection with the accounting, fee management, receipting and other software we provide to schools and school boards, we receive personal information from school boards and school board employees, including school bank account information, employee names and business contact information, employee identification number, student names, date of birth, gender, address, phone number, school board district, school, grade level, homeroom number, course enrollment, student identification number, and parent/guardian information.] We use this information in order to administer our service and provide software products to our school and school board customers, including assigning school fees to the appropriate accounts, facilitating payment for such fees, obtaining and administering permissions, and providing accounting and finance services to school boards. We rely on our school and school board clients to ensure they have all necessary authority and consent to provide this information to us in accordance with applicable privacy legislation for the purposes of providing the software services.  We may monitor use of the software by our customers’ employees or other authorized users in order to detect, investigate or prevent any actual or potential violation of our terms and conditions and to better understand the improve the software.

  • Communications:

You may select if you wish to receive email marketing communications with updates, surveys, and other information regarding KEV Group by providing us with your name and email address.

You can opt out of receiving marketing emails from us using the opt-out or “unsubscribe” instructions provided in the communication. Alternatively, you may contact our Privacy Officer at privacyofficer@kevgroup.com.

  • Surveys:

From time to time, we may offer you the opportunity to participate in one of our surveys or other customer research. We use this information to help us enhance our service offerings.

If you submit a technical support request, we may use your email to send you a survey asking about the quality of support that you received. We use survey responses to monitor and improve our technical support offerings.

  • Blog and Messaging:

When you submit a comment or leave a reply on the KEV Group website blog, you provide your name, email address and any additional comments you wish to provide. We use this information to publicly post your name, the content of your post, as well as the date and time of your submission on the website.

Information We Collect Automatically

We and our third party service providers, including Google Analytics, collect, process, store and analyze information obtained from your browser, including IP address, device identifiers, browser characteristics, operating system details, language preferences, referring URLs, length of visits, and pages viewed. We also use “cookies” or other tools that track, measure and analyze the behaviors and usage patterns of visitors to the KEV Group website, and users of our software products. We use this information to help us understand how visitors engage with the KEV Group website and our software products, and to improve our users’ experience and software products.

We have implemented reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures in an effort to safeguard the personal information in our custody and control against theft, loss and unauthorized access, use, modification and disclosure. We restrict access to your personal information on a need-to-know basis to employees and authorized service providers who require access to fulfill their job requirements.

We have personal information retention processes designed to retain personal information for no longer than necessary for the purposes stated above or to otherwise meet legal requirements.
