Sr QA’s work autonomously to produce testing, automation, and recommendations; partnered closely with Development and Technical Support, the Sr QA is also called upon to investigate and troubleshoot live scenarios and amend test scripts and processes accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Working autonomously to analyze, review and provide feedback on high-level business requirements
• Independently create test plans, test cases and test scripts based on requirement documents and business User Stories
• Execute manual and automated test cases
• Document test results and identify opportunities and recommendations
• Identify, analyze, and report defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in the applications. Re-test on defect fixes to confirm resolution.
• Perform functional, non-functional and other testing methodologies.
• Work with JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr and other test case management & defect management industry tools
• Participate in defect triage and Scrum meetings
• Test new technologies and system functionality to ensure business acceptance, user acceptance and system integration
• Contribute to increasing automated test coverage by developing and maintaining automated test suites using test automation tools
• Updating and maintaining best QA procedures and standards, including test planning, test data preparation and test automation
• Setup and manage test environment & application
• Provide updates to QA Manager for all QA related activities and dependencies
• Continually enhance your own skills and build knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information systems
• Provide support to the Kev team by providing answers to any technical questions
• Establish a good working relationship with team members and department contacts

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• 5 years or more of experience working with a software development team, specifically in applications testing
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in web testing and black box testing
• Experience and a high level of comfort with writing SQL queries
• Exposure to test automation tools, preferably web test automation tools such as Selenium
• Highly organized time management skills - you’re able to juggle multiple priorities at once
• A high level of detail orientation – you don’t miss the little things, even while focusing on the big picture

It would be nice if you have:
• Experience with any of JavaScript, .NET, and C# would be assets
• Experience with running builds from TeamCity or deploying using Octopus
• ISTQB or equivalent certification
• Knowledge of accounting
• Experience with the AGILE methodology
• Experience with testing web applications across multiple browsers
• Experience writing & executing test cases
• Experience with Jira, Zephyr, Selenium
• Experience with automation
• Experience with any of JavaScript, .NET, and C# would be assets
• Experience with running builds from TeamCity or deploying using Octopus
