The 2018 Alberta Association of School Business Officials Conference

The main event of the year that took place from May 6-9 for the Association of School Business Officials of Alberta

ASBOA 2018

The Alberta ASBO Conference took place on May 6th to 9th at the Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff. The conference program was full of sessions and information that School Business Officials deal with on a daily basis. Andrew Bash – a Calgary climber and educator – kicked things off with an inspiring keynote entitled Focus on the Summit, shedding light on what attaining the summit really means.  Joshua Peach keynoted day two, engaging attendees with his personal story of mindset and attitude transformation.

KEV Group facilitated an intriguing learning session Monday afternoon that focused on The Problem with Cash in Schools. Some of the key takeaways included:

  1. Transparency over cash in schools solves for much of the risk school districts face.
  2. Transparency comes from digitizing the entire process of collections to disbursements.
  3. School staff benefit greatly from intuitively designed tools to simplify day-to-day business operations.

We’d like to thank the Alberta ASBO planning committee for hosting a great event. It was time well spent with long-standing KEV customers, and filled with opportunities to network and make new friends.
